Qigong to Release Anger & Tension

According to Chinese medicine, excessive or repressed anger injures the Liver. When in harmony, the Liver & Gallbladder ensure the smooth and sufficient flow of xue (blood) and qi (vital energy), respectively. Having enough xue circulating through us allows for restfulness, relaxation, and ease in a physical, mental, and emotional sense. The proper circulation of qi allows us the energy to move and think with flexibility and agility. It is not uncommon for the flow of qi and xue to become depleted and/or stagnant, causing pain or discomfort, moodiness or unstable emotions, and stress. This qigong practice supports the Liver and Gallbladder in releasing stagnation.
